Shadowrocket — macOS Setup
Follow these steps to import your NEXA configuration into Shadowrocket and connect on macOS. If you have an active NEXA VPN subscription and need a NEXA shared Apple ID to download the app, contact NEXA customer support to request the account.
- 1
App Store region
If a region-specific Apple ID is required, only sign in through the App Store / Media & Purchases. Do NOT sign into iCloud/System Settings with the shared NEXA Apple ID.
Use the approved NEXA shared account only through the App Store download process. If an account/security issue occurs, contact NEXA support.
- 2
Download Shadowrocket
Search for Shadowrocket in the App Store and confirm the correct application before installing.
After installation, switch the App Store / Media & Purchases account back to your own Apple ID.
Do not leave the shared NEXA Apple ID signed in unnecessarily.
- 3
Import configuration
Copy the NEXA subscription/configuration link, open Shadowrocket, and tap + → Type: Subscribe → paste your NEXA configuration link.
Alternatively, scan the NEXA QR code, then save. The server list should load automatically; if not, use the refresh/update button.
- 4
Connect
Return to the main screen and turn the connection switch ON.
On first use, allow VPN permission. macOS may request your Mac login password.
- 5
Auto-update
Go to Settings → Subscription and enable Update on Launch and Auto Background Update.
- 6
Routing mode
The recommended option is Config, which uses split routing so domestic traffic connects directly while international traffic uses the proxy.
Proxy: all traffic through proxy. Direct: no proxy traffic. Scene: advanced automatic routing.
Troubleshooting
- •Configuration import fails: re-copy or re-scan the configuration.
- •Cannot connect: try another server/node or refresh the subscription.
